Aim:

Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Study Days -HSCT

This is a two day program designed for nurses and health care professionals who are involved in the care of a child receiving Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplants. It provides an overview of transplantation for children with both malignant and non malignant disease. Sources of stem cells, harvesting and processing methods are discussed. Further sessions focus on the preparation and care of the patient before, during and after the transplant, in particular the side effects of transplant therapy.

This course is equal to 16 CPD hours
