We are committed to promoting a culture that is inclusive of consumer participation and is responsive to consumer priorities. We have developed two resources to support consumer participation and engagement.

Training and orientation handbook for consumers

This handbook provides essential information about being a consumer representative, advice for getting started, guidelines for when consumers are in the role, and general information about the PICS and partner health services.

A Toolkit for Consumer Participation and Engagement

This toolkit was developed specifically as a resource for Australian health services and organisations providing care to paediatric oncology patients to assist health services to enhance effective consumer participation. This toolkit was developed as part of a Cancer Australia supporting people with cancer grant initiative, funded by the Australian Government.
